Grandmother's Buttons Chaillot Earrings
These earrings showcase two antique jet glass buttons featuring delicate six-petalled flowers with every other petal in a matte finish.
We discovered them in a dusty New York City Garment District warehouse over a decade ago in what was to this day one of our most brilliant button-hunting finds. A Parisienne newspaper, dated 1912, was still wrapped around the packages.
The jet buttons dangle from two captivatingly complex Art Deco-inspired brass stampings that we think highlight their beauty. We’ve named these earrings for the famous Parisian Art Deco palace, the Palais de Chaillot.
